The Cabin at Braeside is mountain living at its finest.

Enjoy our two person log-sided cabin with a full kitchen and bath, comfortable seating and a porch where you can hear the Big Thompson River nearby. This is an efficiency cabin no actual bedroom. Sleeping area is part of the Livingroom. This 1948 cabin was built by Arne Oldberg, an American composer and pianist, for his family. Enjoy the use of the wood fireplace, and relax with a book in the wide window seat. And although the Cabin at Braeside is equipped with modern amenities like wifi and a TV, you might find yourself disconnecting and staring deeply into nature. A fully equipped kitchen with electric range and microwave. The home is fully stocked with bed linens, towels, extra blankets, soaps and shampoo. The kitchen has pots, pans and dishes plus silverware. A standard coffee maker, toaster, crock pot too.

The Cabin at Braeside is a perfect retreat for two. Canine companions are allowed with advance notice (a pet fee applies).

This home is managed by Rocky Mountains Property Services, a family owned and operated business local to Estes Park.

Rocky Mountain National Park will implement another pilot temporary timed entry permit reservation system from May 23 through October 20, 2025. If you plan on visiting Rocky Mountain National Park during your stay please visit their website for details about reservations.

Comfortable, peaceful retreat!

"I loved every minute of my stay, and definitely plan to return! Very comfy bed and shower/bath - I was surprised at how great the water pressure was. The kitchen was fully equipped, and even though it’s a studio, there was plenty of room. It’s set up so one could sleep and another read/watch tv without bothering the sleeper. Lots of storage room for clothes and gear. Great eating/working table that can seat 4. I was amazed by how close it is to downtown Estes Park since it felt like I was in the middle of nowhere! It was cold, so I didn’t spend a lot of time on the porch, but the view is gorgeous. Was there in winter, and can only imagine how great a spring/summer/fall stay would be!

Very Peaceful Stay

"We stayed a couple nights last winter and loved the cabin and hope to go back. The location is great for visiting Rocky Mountain National Park and downtown Estes Park. We saw so many Elk, did some great snowshoeing and had great food and drinks in town. The cabin was warm and comfortable and had a great deck to hang out on. My wife really liked the bedroom setup and how dark it stayed in the mornings with the curtains closed until we were ready to start the day and take in the beautiful surroundings.
